About Me

I became interested in museums and collections management as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin. As I explored courses in Archaeology, Cultural Anthropology, and American Indian Studies, I began working with the curator of the Anthropology Department. After graduating in 2014, I took time off to intern at the Milwaukee Public Museum and the Wisconsin Historical Society. During these internships, I expanded my experience by doing curatorial and exhibit projects. Working with Native American communities and material culture, I developed a passion for community-oriented collections projects. I pursued my passion in graduate school at the University of Colorado Boulder. In the Museum and Field Studies program, I completed coursework related to collections management, museology, and indigenous studies. In the Spring of 2018 I completed my degree with a graduate project entitled Collections Management and Originating Communities: Preparing collections for Review
